King of Cambodia Congratulates New President of the Philippines

PHNOM PENH: The King of Cambodia, His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, wrote a letter to the new President of the Republic of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos Jr, congratulating him on his inauguration as the country’s new president.

In the letter, dated 30 June 2022, King Norodom Sihamoni stated that the people of Cambodia and the Philippines “enjoy traditional bonds of friendship and cooperation,” and His Majesty assured that he remains committed to developing these bonds for peace, security, stability and prosperity in the region.

The King concluded his letter by wishing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr continued good health and success.
